Draftkings Wyndham Championship Second Round Picks 8/1/25
2025 Wyndham Championship
August 1, 2025 6:50 am EDT
This Friday morning, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the second round of the 2025 Wyndham Championship. Let’s take a look at the second round of this tournament from a DFS perspective.
Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections for this week’s event let’s review where the second round of the 2025 Wyndham Championship will be played.
The 2025 Wyndham Championship will be played at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The track is a par 70 that measures 7,131 yards.
Aaron Rai won the 2024 Wyndham Championship with a cumulative four round score of 18 under par.
I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest! Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups for this DFS slate.
For those readers that are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single round showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.
If you need to review the specific rules for the single round showdown contests feel free to check out the DraftKings website.
Here are my DraftKings picks for the second round of the 2025 Wyndham Championship.
Draftkings Second Round Picks
Denny McCarthy $8,300
The talented American has tallied two top 12 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an 11th place result at the 2025 John Deere Classic four weeks ago.
Denny McCarthy has played well at the Sedgefield Country Club in the past. McCarthy finished ninth at the 2020 Wyndham Championship.
Matt Wallace $7,800
Last week, Matt Wallace fired a final round 64 at the 2025 3M Open en route to an eventual third place result. Additionally, Wallace finished 28th at the 2024 Wyndham Championship.
Upon the completion of this afternoon’s first round of the 2025 Wyndham Championship, Matt Wallace is currently tied for sixth place with a score of five under par. In summary, I fully expect Matt Wallace to continue his outstanding play in tomorrow’s second round of the 2025 Wyndham Championship.
Victor Perez $7,200
Victor Perez has amassed three top 28 finishes in his last six events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive ninth-place result at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open last month.
Jordan Spieth $9,200
The 2015 Masters champion has compiled two top 23 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a seventh-place result at the 2025 Memorial Tournament in May.
Kevin Kisner $6,300
Kevin Kisner has amassed two top 28 finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2025 ISCO Championship earlier this month.
Kisner certainly checks the box for me from an event/course history perspective. Let me be more specific. Since 2014, Kevin Kisner has played the Wyndham Championship seven times. In those seven tournaments just noted, Kisner accumulated four top ten finishes, including a win at the 2021 Wyndham Championship.
Upon the completion of this afternoon’s first round of the 2025 Wyndham Championship, Kevin Kisner is currently tied for 18th place with a score of four under par.
In my view, Kevin Kisner’s low Draftkings price of only $6,300 presents the best fantasy value on this PGA Tour Showdown DFS slate.
Additional golfers I like to perform well in the second round of the 2025 Wyndham Championship (Draftkings price noted): Matt Fitzpatrick $10,500: Matt Kuchar $6,800: Christiaan Bezuidenhout $7,500.
