In direct contrast to the Houston Astros, the Athletics arrive at the opening game of this American League series playing below average baseball. More specifically, the Athletics have lost 11 of the team’s last 12 games played this season, including a 10-5 loss to the Los Angeles Angels last week.
Now that we have identified how both of these teams are currently playing let’s shift our attention to tonight’s contest. Veteran second baseman Jose Altuve has been a standout performer for the Houston Astros in 2025. With that said, how has Altuve performed from a statistical standpoint in 2025?
