2021 Evian Championship: Predictions, Odds 7/22/21
2021 Evian Championship
July 22, 2021 1:30 am EDT
This week, the LPGA Tour travels to France for the 2021 Evian Championship.
Before I discuss my favorite golf bets for this week’s LPGA Tour event let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most important to success at this week’s 2021 Evian Championship.
The 2021 Evian Championship will be played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Haute-Savoie, France. This golf course is a par 71 that measures 6,434 yards. This track is approximately 1,575 feet above sea level. This golf course features tight fairways, thick penal rough, and fast undulating greens. It should also be noted that the Evian Resort Golf Club has hosted the Evian Championship since it’s debut on the LPGA Tour in 2000.
*The 2020 Evian Championship was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The key player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are strokes gained around the green, GIR (greens in regulation), driving accuracy, and putts per GIR.
Now let’s shift our focus to my favorite golf bets for the 2021 Evian Championship!
Here is a player to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.
Jennifer Kupcho +650
The talented young American arrives at this week’s 2021 Evian Championship in good form. More specifically, Kupcho has accumulated three top 13 finishes in her last four tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including an impressive ninth place result at the 2021 Marathon LPGA Classic earlier this month.
Kupcho also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Kupcho currently ranks eighth in GIR (greens in regulation-76.87%) and 25th in driving accuracy (77.59%).
It should also be noted that Jennifer Kupcho finished second at the 2019 Evian Championship.
Here are two players to consider placing on your card to finish in the top 20.
Lizette Salas +250
The 32 year old American has five top 23 finishes in her last six events played on the LPGA Tour, including a second place result at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship last month. Salas also finished 13th at the 2019 Evian Championship.
Salas is currently ranked sixth in driving accuracy (83.62%) on the LPGA Tour.
Chella Choi +800
The 30 year old has accumulated two top 22 finishes in her last four tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a seventh place result at the Honda LPGA Thailand in May.
Chella Choi is currently ranked second in driving accuracy (85.60%) and 19th in GIR (greens in regulation-74.76%) on the LPGA Tour.
