2021 Marathon LPGA Classic

This week, the LPGA Tour presents the golf betting community with the 2021 Marathon LPGA Classic.
Before I discuss my favorite golf bets for this week’s LPGA Tour event let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most important to success at this week’s 2021 Marathon LPGA Classic.
The 2021 Marathon LPGA Classic will be played at the Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Illinois. This golf course is a par 71 that measures 6,578 yards. This track will present this week’s field with three par five holes. This track also features 68 bunkers that are strategically placed throughout the golf course. Water hazards are in play on 10 of the 18 holes. It should also be noted that the Highland Meadows Golf Club has hosted the Marathon LPGA Classic since 1989.
The key player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are strokes around the green, GIR (greens in regulation), driving accuracy, and putts per GIR.

Here are three players to consider placing on your card to finish in the top 20.
Emma Talley +650
The 27 year old fired a final round 63 (career best round score) at last week’s 2021 Volunteers Of America Classic on her way to a fourth place finish.
Talley also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event history. Let me be more specific. Talley has played the Marathon LPGA Classic three times since 2018. In those three events just mentioned, Talley has accumulated three top 11 finishes, including a fifth place result at the 2020 Marathon LPGA Classic.
Yu Liu +275
The 25 year old arrives at this week’s 2021 Marathon LPGA Classic on the heels of two consecutive top 25 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a 13th place result at last week’s Volunteers Of America Classic.
Liu has also performed well at this week’s LPGA tournament in the past. Liu has played the Marathon LPGA Classic twice since 2018. In those two events just mentioned, Liu has accumulated two top 20 finishes, including a fifth place result at the 2020 Marathon LPGA Classic.
Jaye Marie Green +950
Green has two top 26 finishes in her last five tournaments played on the LPGA Tour including a 26th place result at the Bank Of Hope LPGA Match-Play Championship in May.
It should also be noted that Green finished 20th at the 2017 Marathon LPGA Classic.
