This week, the LPGA Tour travels to Michigan for the 2022 Meijer LPGA Classic.
Before I discuss my favorite golf bets for this week’s LPGA Tour event let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and a few key facts that I think are relevant to those placing wagers on the 2022 Meijer LPGA Classic.
The 2022 Meijer LPGA Classic will be played at the Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Michigan. The golf course is par 72 that measures 6,556 yards. This course was designed by William Langford and Theodore Moreau in 1928. However, the course had a complete restoration in 2020. This track features 64 bunkers and rather small green complexes. Due to the fact that this golf course is only 6,556 yards, long hitters will definitely have an advantage from a scoring perspective.

The Meijer LPGA Classic has been played at the Blythefield Country Club every year that the event has been played on the LPGA Tour.
The Meijer LPGA Classic debuted on the LPGA Tour schedule in 2014. The tournament was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thompson has accumulated two consecutive top 20 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a second place result at the 2022 Cognizant Founders Cup.
I also like the fact that Lexi Thompson has performed at a high level at this week’s event multiple times in the past. Since 2015, Thompson has played the Meijer LPGA Classic six times. In those six events just mentioned, Thompson has accumulated five top nine finishes, including a win at the 2015 Meijer LPGA Classic.

Su Oh +250
Su Oh arrives at this week’s 2022 Meijer LPGA Classic on the heels of two consecutive top 25 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including an 18th place result at the 2022 Bank Of Hope Match-Play two weeks ago.
Su Oh certainly checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Oh has played the Meijer LPGA Classic four times since 2017. In those four golf tournaments just mentioned, Oh has four top 15 finishes, including a second place result at the 2019 Meijer LPGA Classic. Having stated that, I like Su Oh’s chances of posting another top 20 finish at this year’s event.
