This week, the LPGA Tour travels to Galloway, New Jersey for the 2022 ShopRite LPGA Classic.
Before I discuss my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s 2022 ShopRite LPGA Classic let’s take a look at the top five players in scoring average on the LPGA Tour that are in this week’s field.
Top Five Golfers in Scoring Average
- Jin Young Ko 69.57
- Brooke Henderson 69.93
- Celine Boutier 69.97
- Lydia Ko 70.08
- Nasa Hataoka 70.26
Now that we have determined who the top five golfers with regard to scoring average are on the LPGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s 2022 ShopRite LPGA Classic.
*It should also be noted that the ShopRite LPGA Classic is a 54 hole (three rounds) event.
Anna Nordqvist -115 over Leona Maguire
Anna Nordqvist has accumulated two top 26 finishes in her last three tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a third place result at last week’s 2022 U.S. Women’s Open.
Anna Nordqvist certainly checks the box for me when it comes to previous event results at this week’s LPGA event. Let me be more specific. Anna Nordqvist has played the ShopRite LPGA Classic ten times since 2012. In those ten tournaments just mentioned, Anna Nordqvist has accumulated an impressive nine top 23 finishes, including two wins (2015, 2016).
Marina Alex -115 over Ayaka Furue
Marina Alex has accumulated two top ten finishes in her last four tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a win at the 2022 Palos Verdes Championship last month.
It should also be noted that Marina Alex finished third at the 2018 ShopRite LPGA Classic.
