2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship: Tournament Prop Bets, Odds 8/10/23
2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship
2023-08-10 08:00:00 EDT
This week, the PGA Tour presents golf bettors with the first event of the FedEx Cup playoffs, the 2023 FedEx Cup St. Jude Championship.
Before I discuss my favorite prop bets for this week’s first FedEx Cup playoff event let’s take a quick look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success this week.
The 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship will be played at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. The golf course is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,243 yards. This track has 11 water hazards and 75 bunkers that are strategically placed throughout the golf course. This week’s field will also be presented with zoysia grass fairways and bermuda grass greens at TPC Southwind
The key player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are strokes gained tee to green, GIR (greens in regulation), strokes gained around the green, and strokes gained ball striking.
Now let’s shift our focus to my favorite prop bets for the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship!
Top Canadian: Corey Conners +200
Since the beginning of April, Corey Conners has played 11 tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those 11 events just mentioned, Corey Conners has accumulated six top 20 finishes, including a win at the 2023 Valero Texas Open.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Corey Conners ranks eighth in strokes gained ball striking, 13th in strokes gained tee to green, and 15th in strokes gained approach.
Top Englishman: Tommy Fleetwood +275
Tommy Fleetwood arrives at this week’s 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship on the heels of two consecutive top ten finishes on the PGA Tour, including a sixth place result at the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open last month.
It should also be noted that Tommy Fleetwood finished fourth at the 2019 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Top South Korean: Sungjae Im +250
Sungjae Im has accumulated two top 20 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a 14th place result at last week’s 2023 Wyndham Championship last week.
I also like the fact that Sungjae Im has performed well at TPC Southwind previously. Im finished 12th at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
