Since the beginning of July, Tony Finau has played eight tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those eight events just mentioned, Finau accumulated an impressive five top nine finishes, including three wins (2022 3M Open: 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic: 2023 Cadence Bank Houston Open).
I also like the fact that Tony Finau has consistently posted quality results at major championships throughout his career. Let me be more specific. Since 2018, Tony Finau has played 19 major championships. In those 19 tournaments just noted, Finau has accumulated ten top 15 finishes, including a fourth place result at the 2020 PGA Championship.
I think this is the year Mr. Finau finally breaks through and becomes a major champion at the 2023 U.S. Open.
