2024 PGA Championship Early First Look: Predictions, Bets, Odds 5/16/24

This May, the PGA Tour travels to Kentucky for the 2024 PGA Championship.

The 2024 PGA Championship will be played at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.

Before I discuss my favorite early bet for the 2024 PGA Championship let’s take a look at the betting odds of past winners of the PGA Championship to see if we can find any histroical betting trends.

Since the beginning of April, Brooks Koepka has played ten tournaments (PGA and LIV Tours combined). In those ten events just noted, Koepka has accumulated an impressive six top 15 finishes, including a second place result at the 2023 Masters Tournament. 

I think it’s fair to say that Brooks Koepka can handle the pressure of playing competitive golf when the lights are the brightest. Since the beginning of 2017, Brooks Koepka has played 23 major championships. In those 23 tournaments just mentioned, Brooks Koepka accumulated 16 top 13 finishes, including five wins. His most recent major championship victory occurred at the 2023 PGA Championship.

In summary, I am backing Brooks Koepka to win the PGA Championship at odds of +1200.
