The PGA Tour travels to the state of Kentucky for the the 2021 Barbasol Championship.

Before I discuss my favorite golf bets for this week’s PGA Tour event let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and some additional facts that I feel are relevant to those that will be placing bets on the 2021 Barbasol Championship.

The 2021 Barbasol Championship will be played at the Keene Trace Golf Club (Champion Course) in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The Champion Course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,328 yards. This track will present this week’s field with rather wide generous fairways and large green complexes. The golf course also features four par five holes.

Key Facts

The 2020 Barbasol Championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Keene Trace Golf Club (Champion Course) has hosted the the Barbasol Championship since 2018.

The average cumulative four round winning score of the two previous winners of the Barbasol Championship was 24.5 strokes under par (2019 Jim Herman -26: 2018 Troy Merritt -23).

Now let’s get to what I love doing the most! Here are my favorite golf bets for the 2021 Barbasol Championship.

Here are two golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.

Jim Herman +500

The 43 year old American arrives at this week’s 2021 Barbasol Championship on the heels of thee consecutive top 28 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 25th place result at the Travelers Championship last month.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Barbasol Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Herman ranks second in GIR (greens in regulation), seventh in strokes gained ball striking, and tenth in bogey avoidance.

It should also be noted that Jim Herman won the 2019 Barbasol Championship.

Nick Taylor +400

The Canadian fired a second round 65 at last week’s 2021 John Deere Classic en route to an eventual 28th place finish. I also like the fact that Nick Taylor has performed well at the Barbasol Championship in the past. More specifically, Taylor finished 15th at the 2019 Barbasol Championship.

Here is a player to consider placing on your card to finish in the top 20.

Kevin Tway +300

The 32 year old American has accumulated two consecutive top 23 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an impressive 14th place result at the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic two weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Barbasol Championship field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tway ranks fourth in strokes gained putting, third in birdie or better percentage, and seventh in strokes gained off the tee.
