This week, the LPGA Tour travels to South Korea for the 2021 BMW Ladies Championship.

Before I discuss my favorite tournament matchup bets for the 2021 BMW Ladies Championship let’s take a look at the current leaders in scoring average on the LPGA Tour that are in this week’s field.

  2. Inbee Park 69.46
  3. Lydia Ko 69.73
  4. In Gee Chun 69.90
  5. Hyo Joo Kim 70.00
  6. So Yeon Ryu 70.01
  7. Leona Maguire 70.07
  8. Danielle Kang 70.10
  9. Sei Young Kim 70.21
  10. Moriya Jutanugarn 70.22

*The 2020 BMW Ladies Championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now that we have established who the top ten golfers with regard to scoring average are on the LPGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s 2021 BMW Ladies Championship.

Inbee Park -120 over In Gee Chun

Since the beginning of March, Inbee Park has played 16 tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those 16 events just mentioned, Park has accumulated an impressive 11 top 15 finishes, including a win at the 2021 Kia Classic.

Park certainly checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Park is currently ranked 12th in driving accuracy (79.12%), second in scoring average (69.46), and first in putts per GIR (1.71) on the LPGA Tour.

I also like the fact that Inbee Park’s opponent (Chun) in this matchup has not played very good golf on the LPGA Tour recently. More specifically, In Gee Chun has missed the cut in two of her last four events played on the LPGA Tour.

Minjee Lee -125 over Danielle Kang

Minjee Lee arrives at this week’s 2021 BMW Ladies Championship event in rather good form. Let me provide you relevant data to better shed light on my previous statement. Lee has played six tournaments on the LPGA Tour since the beginning of July, In those six events just mentioned, Minjee Lee has accumulated four top five finishes, including a win at the 2021 Amundi Evian Championship.

In relation to this week’s current listed BMW Ladies Championship field, in the last four weeks of competitive golf played on the LPGA Tour, Minjee Lee ranks seventh in GIR (greens in regulation-80.1%), tenth in driving accuracy (83.3%), and third in scrambling (65.3%).

I also like the fact that Minjee Lee has performed well at this week’s LPGA event previously. Lee finished 16th at the 2019 BMW Ladies Championship.
