This Thursday morning, the first round of the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson will begin.
Before I discuss my favorite tournament prop bet for the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson let’s take a look at the current leaders in scoring average on the PGA Tour that are in this week’s field.
Top Five Golfers in Scoring Average

- Tyrrell Hatton 69.76

Now that we have determined who the top five golfers with regard to scoring average are on the PGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament prop bet for this week’s 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson.
Top British Golfer: Tyrrell Hatton -130
Since the beginning of March, Tyrrell Hatton has played seven tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those seven events just noted, Hatton has accumulated four top 19 finishes, including an impressive third place result at last week’s 2023 Wells Fargo Championship.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tyrrell Hatton ranks fourth in strokes gained approach, second in strokes gained tee to green, second in strokes gained ball striking, 17th in GIR (greens in regulation), and eighth in bogey avoidance.
In summary, I am backing Tyrrell Hatton to post the best tournament finish of all British golfers in this week’s 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson field at odds of -130.
