This week, the PGA Tour returns to the state of Texas for the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge.
Before I discuss my favorite tournament macthup bets for this week’s PGA Tour event let’s take a the current leaders in sccoring average on the PGA Tour that are in this week’s 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge field.

Now that we have determined who the top ten golfers with regard to scoring average are on the PGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament matchup bets for the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge.
Justin Rose -120 over Tommy Fleetwood
The 2018 FedEx Cup champion has accumulated two top 16 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive ninth place result at last week’s 2023 PGA Championship.
I also like the fact that Justin Rose has performed well at this week’s PGA Tour event in the past. Rose won the 2018 Charles Schwab Challenge.
Chris Kirk -140 over Taylor Moore
Since the beginning of January, Chris Kirk has played 11 tournaments on the PGA Tour. In the 11 events just noted, Kirk has accumulated six top 29 finishes, including a win at the 2023 Honda Classic in February.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge, in the last 36 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Chris Kirk ranks 11th in strokes gained tee to green, fourth in strokes gained around the green, and fifth in strokes gained on par fours.
Chris Kirk also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course results. Let me be more specific. Chris Kirk has played the Charles Schwab Challenge eight times since 2014. In those eight tournaments just mentioned, Kirk accumulated five top 15 finishes, including a win at the 2015 Charles Schwab Challenge.
