This week, the LPGA Tour presents golf betting enthusiasts with the 2022 Cognizant Founders Cup.
Before I discuss my favorite tournament matchup bets for the 2022 Cognizant Founders Cup let’s take a look at the top five players in scoring average on the LPGA Tour that are in this week’s field.
Top Five Golfers in Scoring Average
- Minjee Lee 69.16
- Nanna Koerstz Madsen 69.48
- Jin Young Ko 69.50
- Lexi Thompson 69.57
- Xiyu Lin 69.58
Now that we have determined who the top five golfers with regard to scoring average are on the LPGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s 2022 Cognizant Founders Cup.
Georgia Hall -110 over Yuka Saso
Since the beginning of March, Georgia Hall has played four tournaments (LPGA and Ladies European Tour events combined). In those four events just mentioned, Georgia Hall has accumulated three top 21 finishes, including a win at the 2022 Saudi International.
In direct contrast to Georgia Hall, Yuka Saso has not been playing good golf lately. Let me be more specific. In her last three tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, Yuka Saso has accumulated a 56th place result and a missed cut. Clearly, Georgia Hall is the golfer to back in this matchup.
Lydia Ko -125 over Lexi Thompson
Lydia Ko arrives at this week’s 2022 Cognizant Founders Cup in outstanding form. Since the beginning of January, Lydia Ko has played seven tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those seven events just mentioned, Ko has accumulated seven top 25 finishes, including a win at the 2022 Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio in January.
Lydia Ko is currently ranked eighth in putts per GIR (1.74), 16th in scoring average (70.18), and 18th in total birdies made (110) on the LPGA Tour.
