This week, golf bettors will be presented with the first major championship of the year, the 2023 Masters Tournament.
Before I discuss my favorite golf bet for the 2023 Masters let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play in Augusta, Georgia.
The 2023 Masters will be played at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. The Augusta National golf course is a par 72 that measures 7,545 yards. Water is in play on five of the 18 holes. This track also has 44 sand bunkers that are strategically placed throughout the golf course. This golf course will present this week’s field with bentgrass greens and ryegrass fairways.
Before I dive into my favorite golf bet for the 2023 Masters let me address the elephant in the room. I recognize that a number of golfers from the LIV Golf Tour will be competing at this year’s 2023 Masters. However, I won’t be backing any of them. Why?
In my opinion, LIV Golf is an “exhibition” style Tour. Having stated that, golfers playing the LIV Tour have not had the same preparation to win the first major of the year in comparison to the PGA Tour players.

Jordan Spieth +360
Jordan Spieth arrives at this week’s 2023 Masters Tournament in rather good form. More specifically, Spieth has accumulated two top four finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a third place result at the 2023 Valspar Championship last month.
It should also be noted that Jordan Spieth has posted some outstanding results at the Masters in the past. Since 2014, Jordan Spieth has played the Masters Tournament nine times. In those nine events just mentioned, Spieth has accumulated six top 11 finishes, including a win at the 2015 Masters.
In summary, I am backing Spieth to top five at odds of +360.
