Palos Verdes Championship: Tournament Matchup Bets, Odds 4/21/22

This week, the LPGA Tour presents golf betting enthusiasts with the 2022 Palos Verdes Championship.

Before I discuss my favorite tournament matchup bets for the 2022 Palos Verdes Championship let’s take a look at the top five players in scoring average on the LPGA Tour that are in this week’s field.

Top Five Golfers in Scoring Average

Now that we have determined who the top five golfers with regard to scoring average are on the LPGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s inaugural 2022 Palos Verdes Championship.

Hye-Jin Choi -110 over Inbee Park

Hye-Jin Choi arrives at this week’s 2022 Palos Verdes Championship in rather good form. Choi has accumulated two consecutive top six finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a third place result at the 2022 LOTTE Championship two weeks ago.

Hye-Jin Choi certainly checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Choi currently ranks 15th in scoring average (70.09) and 11th in GIR (greens in regulation-73.91%) on the LPGA Tour.

Yuka Saso -110 over Brooke Henderson

Yuka Saso has accumulated three top 17 finishes in her last four tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a 12th place result at the 2022 Honda LPGA Thailand last month.

I also like the fact that Yuka Saso has shown an ability to play at a high level when playing tournament golf in the state of California. Since April of last year, Yuka Saso has played four events on the LPGA Tour in California. In those four tournaments just mentioned, Saso has accumulated three top 17 finishes, including a win at the 2021 Women’s U.S. Open.
