This week, the PGA Tour presents golf bettors with the second major championship of the year, the 2023 PGA Championship.

Before I dive into my favorite golf bets for the 2023 PGA Championship let’s take a quick look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I feel are the most vital to a golfer’s success this week.

The 2023 PGA Championship will be played at the Oak Hill Country Club (East Course) in Rochester, New York. The East Course is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,394 yards. The East Course has hosted six major championships previously, including the 1989 U.S. Open and 2013 PGA Championship.

The key player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are strokes gained tee to green, GIR (greens in regulation), driving distance, and strokes gained putting.

Here are three golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.

Sungjae Im +300

Since the beginning of March, Sungjae Im has played five tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those five tournaments just mentioned, Im accumulated three top eight finishes, including an impressive seventh place result at the 2023 RBC Heritage.

It should also be noted that Sungjae Im won the 2023 Woori Financial Group Championship on the Korean Tour last week.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 PGA Championship field, in the last 36 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Sungjae Im ranks 14th in strokes gained tee to green, 14th in GIR (greens in regulation), sixth in birdie or better percentage, and eighth in bogey avoidance.

Sunjae Im finished 17th at the 2021 PGA Championship.

In summary, I am backing Sunjae Im to post a top ten finish at odds of +300.

Tommy Fleetwood +500

Tommy Fleetwood arrives at this week's PGA Championship on the heels of two conseucitve top 15 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fifth place finish at the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship last week.

Fleetwood finished fifth at the 2022 PGA Championship.

Tyrrell Hatton +330

The talented young Englishman has accumulated two conseuctive top five finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fifth place result at last week's 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson.

It should alo be mentioned that Hatton has performed well at major championships in the past. Hatton finished 11th at the 2022 Open Championship.
