This week, the PGA Tour travels to South Carolina for the 2023 RBC Heritage.
Before I dive into my favorite golf bet for the 2023 RBC Heritage let’s take a quick look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I feel are the most vital to a golfer’s success this week.
The 2023 RBC Heritage will be played at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The golf course is a par 71 that measures 7,121 yards. The track offers ten holes with water hazards and tree lined fairways that requires precision off the tee. It should also be noted that this Pete Dye designed course offers small bermuda grass greens that are difficult to hit from the rough.
The key player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are strokes gained approach, driving accuracy, scrambling, and strokes gained putting.

Matt Kuchar arrives at this week’s RBC Heritage on the heels of two consecutive top nine finishes, including an impressive third place result at the 2023 Valero Texas Open two weeks ago.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 RBC Heritage field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Matt Kuchar ranks tenth in GIR (greens in regulation), fifth in strokes gained approach, and third in strokes gained tee to green.
Matt Kuchar also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course form. Kuchar has played the RBC Heritage nine times since 2014. In those nine events just mentioned, Kuchar has accumulated six top 11 finishes, including a win at the 2014 RBC Heritage.
