Rocket Mortgage Classic: PGA Tour Bets, Odds 6/29/23
Rocket Mortgage Classic
2023-06-29 07:00:00 EDT
This week, the PGA Tour travels to Michigan for the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Before I dive into my favorite golf bets for the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I feel are the most to vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s PGA Tour event.
The 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic will be played at the Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,370 yards. This track is a classical tree lined golf course that was designed by Donald Ross. This week’s field will be presented with rather wide generous fairways and fast undulating greens. This track also features four par five holes. Keep that in mind as you identify which golfers to place a wager on this week.
The key player statistics that I am focusing on for this week’s event are GIR (greens in regulation), strokes gained tee to green, strokes gained approach, and strokes gained putting.
Here are three golfers to consider placing on your card to fnish in the top 20.
Chez Reavie +450
Last week, Chez Reavie fired a second round 63 at the 2023 Travelers Championship en route to an eventual fourth place finish.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Reavie ranks sixth in strokes gained approach, fifth in strokes gained putting, and first in GIR (greens in regulation).
In summary, I am backing Chez Reavie to post a top 20 finish. I absolutely love the value I am getting here with Reavie at odds of +450.
Austin Eckroat +225
Since the beginning of May, Austin Eckroat has played six tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those six events just mentioned, Eckroat has accumulated three top 16 finishes, including an impressive second place result at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson last month.
Ludvig Aberg +230
Ludvig Aberg has accumulated three top 25 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a 24th place result at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. I think the Detroit Golf Club will suit Aberg’s game nicely. Having stated that, I fully expect him to perform well this week.
