This week, the PGA Tour travels to North Carolina for the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship.
Before I dive into my favorite golf bet for the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play this week.
The 2023 Wells Fargo Championship will be played at the Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,538 yards. This track is best described as a long classical golf course. In my opinion, the eventual winner of this event will have outstanding ball striking and putting statistics for the week, relative to the field.
*It should also be noted that the Quail Hollow Golf Club hosted the 2017 PGA Championship.
Now let’s shift our focus to my favorite golf bet for the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship.

Rickie Fowler +350
Rickie Fowler arrives at this week’s Wells Fargo Championship on the heels of three consecutive top 15 finishes, including a tenth place result at the 2023 Valero Texas Open one month ago.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 Wells Fargo Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Rickie Fowler ranks 12th in birdie or better percentage, tenth in strokes gained tee to green, and tenth in GIR (greens in regulation).
Fowler also checks the box for me when it comes to previous tournament results. Since 2011, Rickie Fowler has played this week’s PGA Tour event nine times. In those nine tournaments just noted, Fowler has accumulated an impressive six top 21 finishes, including a win at the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship.
