This week, the LPGA Tour travels to Maryland for the 2022 Women’s PGA Championship.
Before I discuss my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s major championship let’s take a look at the top five players in scoring average on the LPGA Tour that are in this week’s field.
Top Five Golfers in Scoring Average

Now that we have determined who the top five golfers with regard to scoring average are on the LPGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s 2022 Women’s PGA Championship.
Lydia Ko -125 over Minjee Lee
The current fourth-ranked ladies golfer in the world arrives at this week’s 2022 Women’s PGA Championship in outstanding form. Since the beginning of January, Lydia Ko has played ten tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those ten events just mentioned, Lydia Ko has accumulated ten top 25 finishes, including a win at the 2022 Gainbridge LPGA @ Boca Rio.
Lydia Ko is currently ranked third in putts per GIR (1.72), fourth in rounds under par (30), and total birdies made (185) on the LPGA Tour.
It should also be noted that Lydia Ko finished second at the 2016 Women’s PGA Championship.
Jin Young Ko -120 over Nelly Korda
Jin Young Ko has accumulated four consecutive top 17 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a fourth place result at the 2022 Women’s U.S. Open earlier this month.
Jin-Young Ko is currently ranked 11th in GIR (greens in regulation-73.84%), 13th in driving accuracy (82.26%), and fourth in scoring average (69.54) on the LPGA Tour.
