ZOZO Championship
2023-10-18 19:45:00 EDT

This week, the PGA Tour travels to Japan for the 2023 ZOZO Championship.

Before I dive into my favorite golf bets for this week’s PGA Tour event let’s take a quick look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I feel are the most vital to a golfer’s success at the 2023 ZOZO Championship.

The 2023 ZOZO Championship will be played at the Accordia Narashino Golf Club in Chiba, Japan. The golf course is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,079 yards. Water hazards are in play on four holes. Additionally, the field will be presented with small undulated greens that are heavily protected by bunkers.

The key player statistics that I will be fousing on this week are the following: driving accuracy, strokes gained off the tee, strokes gained ball striking, and strokes gained around the green.

Now let’s shift our attention to my favorite golf bets for the 2023 ZOZO Championship.

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to win.

Sungjae Im +1400

The talented young South Korean arrives at this week’s event in rather good form. Sungjae Im has accumulated five consecutive top 21 finishes (PGA Tour and Korean PGA Tour combined) including a second place result at last week’s 2023 Genesis Championship.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2023 ZOZO Championship field, in the last 100 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Sungjae Im ranks fifth in strokes gained tee to green, fifth in strokes gained ball striking, fourth in strokes gained off the tee, and 13th in strokes gained around the green.

Sungjae Im also finished third at the 2019 ZOZO Championship.

Here are two golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.

Cam Davis +225

Since the beginning of August, Cam Davis has played six tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those six events just noted, Cam Davis has accumulated an impressive five top ten finishes, including a third place result at the 2023 Fortinet Championship last month.

Alex Noren +360

Last week, Alex Noren fired a final round 65 at the 2023 Shriners Children’s Open en route to an eventual third place result.

It should also be noted that Alex Noren finished 18th at the 2020 ZOZO Championship.
