Hanwha Eagles vs. SK Wyverns – 5/30/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

2020-05-30 04:00:00 EDT

The SK Wyverns and Hanwha Eagles meet Saturday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.

The SK Wyverns look for another victory after splitting their last six games. The SK Wyverns have produced a combined 14 runs and 22 hits in their last two games, and they have a shot at three straight wins for the first time since August of last year. In their last effort, Noh Soo-kwang and Choi Jeong combined for four hits and four RBI while Kim Tae-hoon allowed two runs and five hits in five innings of work. The SK Wyverns have won just five games since April 25. Ricardo Pinto gets the ball tonight for the SK Wyverns.

The Hanwha Eagles need a win here to snap a six-game losing streak. The Hanwha Eagles are a team that just can’t get out of their own way and have allowed a combined 26 runs in their last three games. In their last effort, Jung Jin-ho and Jared Hoying combined for five hits and four RBI while Kim Min-woo allowed six runs and seven hits in 3.2 innings of work. The Hanwha Eagles have lost 15 of their last 20 games overall. Jang Shi-hwan gets the ball tonight for the Hanwha Eagles.

The SK Wyverns have won six of the last eight meetings against the Hanwha Eagles, but the last four meetings have been split down the middle. Ten of the last 14 meetings between the Wyverns and Eagles have produced single-digit run totals.

The SK Wyverns aren’t a team you should be eager to lay the juice with, but they are playing decent baseball as of late, and they’re certainly playing better baseball than the Hanwha Eagles. We’ve been blindly fading both of these teams for much of the season, but it’s the Hanwha Eagles who have lost six straight games and 15 of their last 20 games. There’s struggling and then there’s the Hanwha Eagles.

I have to side with the SK Wyverns once again, as backing the Hanwha Eagles isn’t an option right now.
