The SK Wyverns lost two of three to the NC Dinos and have split their last four games. The SK Wyverns are coming off a game where they were shutout 10-0 and it was the first time they allowed double-digit runs since May 19. In their last effort, Noh Soo-kwang and Choi Ji-hoon combined for three hits while Kim Tae-hoon allowed seven runs and five hits in 3.1 innings of work. The Samsung Lions won two of three from the LG Twins and have won four of their last six meetings. The Samsung Lions are coming off an 11-0 shutout loss where they had just four hits and they’ve allowed double-digit run totals in two of their last four games. In their latest effort, Lee Won-seok and Kim Ji-chan combined for two hits while Baek Jung-hyun allowed 11 runs and 14 hits in four innings of work. The Samsung Lions have lost 12 of their last 22 games overall. Kim Dae-woo gets the ball tonight for the Samsung Lions.
The SK Wyverns have won 10 of the last 14 meetings against the Samsung Lions, but these teams haven’t met since September of last year. Ten of the last 14 meetings between the Wyverns and Lions have produced single-digit run totals.
The SK Wyverns are probably playing the better baseball considering they just went up against the best team in the NC Dinos and held their own for the most part. However, I’m not running to the window to bet either of these teams, as they’ve both had issues stringing together success and you’re never sure which side is going to show up. So, I’m leaning toward the under 10.5 runs, as both clubs are coming off shutout losses and 10 of the last 14 meetings between these teams have produced single-digit run totals.
Give me the under with this likely being another low scoring contest between two inconsistent teams.
