The KIA Tigers and NC Dinos meet Thursday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action.
The KIA Tigers look to keep the ball rolling after winning six of their last eight games. The KIA Tigers pitching staff has allowed four or less runs in four of their last five games. In their last effort, Choi Hyung-woo and Park Chan-ho combined for three hits and four RBI while Lee Min-woo allowed three runs and four hits in five innings of work. The KIA Tigers have won 21 of their last 33 games overall. Drew Gagnon gets the ball tonight for the KIA Tigers.
The NC Dinos could use a bounce back victory after losing five of their last seven games. The NC Dinos pitching staff has allowed five or more runs in seven of their last eight games. In their last effort, Aaron Altherr and Kang Jin-sung combined for two hits and two RBI while Mike Wright allowed seven runs and nine hits in six innings of work. The NC Dinos have won 22 of their last 32 games overall. Koo Chang-mo gets the ball tonight for the NC Dinos.
The KIA Tigers have won eight of the last 10 meetings against the NC Dinos and are 4-1 against them this year. Six of the last 10 meetings between the Dinos and Tigers have produced single-digit run totals.
The NC Dinos are a team we’ve blindly backed all season long, but they’re in complete struggle mode right now with losses in five of their last seven tries, and that pitching staff has fallen off a cliff during these struggles. The KIA Tigers are one of the hotter teams in the league these last couple weeks, and they’ve now won eight of the last 10 meetings against the NC Dinos, so it’s safe to say this series is not a fluke. We backed the KIA Tigers as big underdogs last night and it paid off nicely. History and this current series shows us no reason not to get greedy and chase the big ticket once again.
Give me the KIA Tigers, the team in better form, and the much more favorable price.
