The Kiwoom Heroes and KIA Tigers meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Gocheok Sky Dome.
The Kiwoom Heroes look for another victory to build on their impressive eight-game winning streak, and they just swept the LG Twins. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in each of their last five games. In their last effort, Park Byung-ho and Kim Hye-sung combined for two hits and five RBI while Han Hyun-hee allowed two runs and five hits in five innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 10 of their last 12 games overall. Jo Young-gun gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.
The KIA Tigers look for another win after winning six of their last nine games. The KIA Tigers pitching staff has allowed four or less runs in seven of their last nine games. In their last effort, Choi Hyung-woo and Yoo Min-sang combined for four hits and three RBI while Aaron Brooks allowed zero runs and one hit in seven innings of work. The KIA Tigers have won eight of their last 12 games overall. Drew Gagnon gets the ball tonight for the KIA Tigers.
The Kiwoom Heroes are 6-2-1 in the last nine meetings against the KIA Tigers, which includes taking two of three games in the last series. Four of the last six meetings between the Heroes and Tigers have produced double-digit run totals.
The Kiwoom Heroes are the hottest team in the league right now with eight straight victories and the offense is putting up crooked numbers left and right. The KIA Tigers have lost their last two games and they haven’t played since Tuesday morning due to several rainouts. I’m all for a team getting rest and that usually gives them an edge, but not playing for multiple days in a item can thitem off a teams rhythm. I’m not sure having several days off is what a team wants when going up against a Kiwoom Heroes team that’s dripping with confidence and results right now.
I’ll continue to ride this hot streak with the Kiwoom Heroes.
