The Atlanta Braves and the Boston Red Sox meet in MLB action from Fenway Park on Wednesday night.
The Atlanta Braves will look to build on a 10-3 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday. Marcell Ozuna stole the show, belting three home runs with six RBIs while Dansby Swanson and Austin Riley each went 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI. Freddie Freeman and Ender Inciarte each had an RBI to round out the scoring for the Braves in the win while Travis D’Arnaud went 3 for 5 and Johan Camargo had a base hit as well to finish off Atlanta’s offense as a team in victory. Ian Anderson got the win to improve to 2-0 after giving up just two runs on six hits while striking out eight over six innings of work. Robbie Erlin will start here and is 0-0 with a 6.00 ERA and 20 strikeouts this season. This will be Erlin’s second career start against Boston.
The Boston Red Sox will try to rebound from their loss to the Braves on Tuesday. Alex Verdugo went 2 for 5 with an RBI while Rafael Devers and Jackie Bradley Jr. each had an RBI to round out the scoring for Boston in the loss. Xander Bogaerts and Yairo Munoz each had a double while Tzu-Wei Lin and Christian Vazquez each had a base knock to cap off the Red Sox offense. Ryan Weber allowed two runs on four hits while striking out a pair over four innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Robert Stock took the loss, falling to 0-1 on the year in relief. Mike Kickham will start here and will be starting in MLB for the first time since 2014.

Kickham’s been a product of the Miami Marlins system last year, but even in AAA last year he had a 5-5 record with a 4.27 ERA. Facing this high-octane Braves lineup is also a tall task to ask to be completed even with Robbie Erlin on the other side starting. I just think the Red Sox are god awful and this should be a game the Braves win rather easily again. Give me Atlanta on the run line to get some value out of the bet.
