The Baltimore Orioles host the Minnesota Twins in MLB action from Camden Yards on Wednesday.

The Minnesota Twins will look to rebound from a disappointing 7-4 loss at the hands of the Orioles on Tuesday. Alex Kirilloff led the way by going 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs while Kyle Garlick and Willians Astudillo each had a solo home run to cap off the scoring for the Twins in the losing effort. Nelson Crus and Trevor Larnach each had a double while Andrelton Simmons had a pair of hits and Josh Donaldson added a base hit as well to cap off the Twins’ offense as a team in the loss. Michael Pineda took the loss, falling to 3-3 on the year after allowing five earned runs on seven hits over three innings of work. Randy Dobnak will start here and is 1-4 with a 6.49 ERA and 19 strikeouts this season. This will be Dobnak’s first career start against the Orioles.

The Baltimore Orioles will look to pick up a rare back-to-back win after their victory over the Twins on Tuesday. Trey Mancini led the O’s with a pair of RBIs, going 2 for 3 at the dish while Freddy Galvis and Pedro Severino each had a solo home run in the win. Ryan Mountcastle went 2 for 4 with an RBI while Maikel Franco and DJ Stewart each had RBIs as well to cap off the scoring for Baltimore in the win. Cedric Mullins went 2 for 4 with a triple while Anthony Santander added a base hit to finish off the offense for the Orioles in the winning effort. Bruce Zimmermann got the win, improving to 3-3 on the year after allowing two earned runs on six hits while striking out seven over 5.1 innings of work. Cole Sulser closed out the 9th for his 1st save. Matt Harvey will start here and is 3-6 with a 6.84 ERA and 42 strikeouts this season. In his career, Harvey is 1-1 with a 7.59 ERA and 7 strikeouts against Minnesota.

Minnesota is 5-0 with in their last 5 games against the AL East and 6-2 in their last 8 games overall while the over is 18-7-1 in their last 26 road games. Baltimore is 14-37 in their last 51 games overall and 1-7 in their last 8 games against a team with a losing record while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 home games. Minnesota is 35-16 in the last 51 meetings between these two teams.

Oh boy. This starting pitching matchup is a dumpster fire if I’ve ever seen one even if Harvey is the opener of a pseudo-bullpen game. Dobnak was just shelled in his last start and Harvey’s been getting lit up like a Christmas tree all season, seems like a prime spot to back the over.
