The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees meet in an AL East division matchup in MLB action from Yankee Stadium on Saturday.

The Boston Red Sox will look to build on their 4-0 win over the Yankees on Friday. Christian Arroyo led the charge, going 2 for 4 with a home run, a double and two RBIs while J.D. Martinez had a solo home run and Hunter Renfroe added an RBI as well. Rafael Devers had a double and Bobby Dalbec chipped in a base hit of his own as the Red Sox had just five hits as a team in the win. Eduardo Rodriguez got the win on the mound, improving to 7-5 on the year after tossing 5.2 innings of two-hit shutout ball, striking out eight to improve to 7-5 on the year. Tanner Houck closed the final three innings for his first save. Nathan Eovaldi will start here and is 9-5 with a 3.66 ERA and 99 strikeouts this season. in his career, Eovaldi is 3-2 with a 2.98 ERA and 44 strikeouts against the Yankees.

The New York Yankees will attempt to bounce back from their loss to the rival Red Sox on Friday. Rougned Odor had a double while DJ LeMahieu and Greg Allen each had a hit as well as the Yankees had just three hits as a team in the loss. The rest of New York’s lineup went 0 for 21 at the dish with 8 strikeouts in the defeat. Jordan Montgomery took the loss, falling to 3-5 on the year after allowing three earned runs on three hits while striking out four over six innings of work. Gerrit Cole will start here and is 9-4 with a 2.68 ERA and 147 strikeouts this season. in his career, Cole is 3-2 with a 3.86 ERA and 45 strikeouts against Boston.

Boston is 12-5 in their last 17 games overall and 7-3 in their last 10 Saturday games while the under is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record. New York is 5-2 in their last 7 games overall and 1-4 in their last 5 home games while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 game two matchups.

I get the case that could be made for the over and the under here, but ultimately, I think we have a high-scoring game here. Eovaldi’s pitched well against New York, but he’s bound to stumble somewhere and Gerrit Cole’s had issues since the start of the saga against the sticky stuff. I could easily see a game that gets well over ten here, so give me the over.
