The Kansas City Royals and the Seattle Mariners meet in MLB action from T-Mobile Park on Friday night.

The Kansas City Royals will be looking to build on their 6-4 win over the Mariners from Thursday’s matchup. Salvador Perez belted a grand slam while Whit Merrifield had a double with an RBI and Nicky Lopez added an RBI as well to round out KC’s scoring as a team in the win. Hunter Dozier, Michael A. Taylor, Ryan O’Hearn, Jarrod Dyson and Emmanuel Rivera each had base hits as well to round out Kansas City’s offense as a team in the victory. Brad Keller allowed two runs on five hits with three strikeouts over 4.1 innings of work in the start, not factoring in the decision. Ervin Santana got the win in relief to improve to 1-1 on the year while Scott Barlow closed the 9th for his 9th save of the season. Kris Bubic will start here and is 4-6 with a 4.94 ERA and 82 strikeouts this season.

The Seattle Mariners will look to bounce back after a disappointing loss to the Royals on Thursday night. Jake Fraley led the M’s with three RBIs including a two-run home run while Kyle Seager went 2 for 5 with a solo home run and a double to finish off Seattle’s scoring as a team in the loss. Cal Raleigh had a double and Abraham Toro had a pair of hits while Jarred Kelenic and Luis Torrens each had base hits as well to finish off Seattle’s offense as a team in the defeat. Yusei Kikuchi allowed four runs on four hits with three strikeouts over five innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Joe Smith ended up with the loss in relief to fall to 2-2 on the year. Logan Gilbert will start here and is 5-5 with a 5.16 ERA and 92 strikeouts this season.

Kansas City is 8-3 in their last 11 games overall and 24-64 in their last 88 games against the AL West while the under is 9-2 in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning record. Seattle is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a left-handed starter and 8-2 in their last 10 Friday games while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 game two matchups.

Our total just came in over the number on Thursday and I think we have a repeat performance coming up Friday. This matchup features two pitchers that have had hot runs throughout the season but are coming into this one fairly cold, having to pitch against two of the hotter hitting lineups in the majors over the last couple of weeks. I think another double-digit total is coming our way, so give me the over here.
