The Colorado Rockies and the Atlanta Braves meet in MLB action from Truist Park on Tuesday night.

The Colorado Rockies will try to build on their 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies last time out. It was the Garrett Hampson show as Colorado’s five RBIs came via Hampson’s two home runs. Brendan Rodgers also had three hits while Elias Diaz had a pair of hits and Colton Welker had a base hit as well to round out the offense for the Rockies in victory. Ryan Feltner threw 3.2 innings, allowing just two runs on four hits while striking out six, not factoring in the decision. Ashton Goudeau got the win in relief to improve to 1-0 on the year while Carlos Estevez closed the 9th for his 7th save. Jon Gray will start here and is 7-10 with a 4.18 ERA and 133 strikeouts this season.

The Atlanta Braves will try to build on their 5-3 win over the Marlins from Tuesday night. Eddie Rosario led the Braves with a two-run home run while Ozzie Albies and Freddie Freeman each had a solo home run. Jorge Soler added a double as well and Travis d’Arnaud also chipped in an RBI to make up the scoring for the Braves in the win. Jos Pederson and Max Fried each had base hits as well to finish off the offense for the Braves in the win. Max Fried gave up three runs on four hits while striking out seven over six innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Jacob Webb got the win in relief to improve to 4-2 while Will Smith closed the 9th for his 32nd save of the season. Touki Toussaint will start here and is 3-2 with a 4.11 ERA and 43 strikeouts this season.

Colorado is 21-52 in their last 73 road games and 6-13 in their last 19 games following an off day while the under is 6-2 in their last 8 games following a win. Atlanta is 6-2 in their last 8 Tuesday games and 5-2 in their last 7 games overall while the under is 7-1-1 in their last 9 games against the NL West.

This is an interesting pitching matchup between two starters in Gray and Toussaint that can be really good, but have also been tossed around a fair bit as of late. That’s why I’m going to side with the over. We’ve seen what both offenses are capable of and I think a double-digit final score wouldn’t surprise me in the least here. Give me the over.
