The Houston Astros and the Oakland A’s meet in an AL West division matchup in MLB action from RingCentral Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.

The Houston Astros will be out to bounce back from a 2-1 loss at the hands of the A’s on Saturday. Yuli Gurriel leads the Astros with a .315 batting average, 161 hits and a .381 OBP while Yordan Alvarez leads the Astros with 32 home runs and 101 RBIs. Carlos Correa has a team-high 34 doubles this season while Kyle Tucker is the only Astro with three triples this season. Jake Odorizzi will make the start here and is 6-7 with a 4.22 ERA and 86 strikeouts this season.

The Oakland A’s will look to pick up another key win after a huge victory over the Astros on Saturday. Matt Olson leads the A’s across the board with team-highs of 38 home runs, 109 RBIs and 145 hits with a .273 batting average and a .372 OBP. Olson also has a team-high 34 doubles while Mark Canha has a team-high 4 triples and Matt Chapman and Tony Kemp each have 3 triples this season. Chapman also has the dubious distinction of leading Oakland with 194 strikeouts this season. Paul Blackburn will start here and is 1-3 with a 5.17 ERA and 23 strikeouts this season.

Houston is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a road favorite and 4-0 in their last 4 game three matchups while the over is 6-1-2 in their last 9 division games. Oakland is 1-6 in their last 7 home games and 1-7 in their last 8 games as an underdog while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 Sunday games.

The A’s got a big win on Saturday but Paul Blackburn isn’t the guy I’d want to try to keep the momentum going on the mound if I’m Oakland as the guy’s been getting torched whether it’s at the major league level or in the minors. Jake Odorizzi’s not the top starter in Houston’s rotation, but he’s a serviceable arm and the Astros should be able to get some revenge in Sunday’s finale at a cheap price.
