The Washington Nationals and the Colorado Rockies meet in MLB action from Coors Field on Tuesday night.

The Washington Nationals will look to give the Rockies all they can handle for a second night in a row on Tuesday. Juan Soto leads the Nationals across the board with 155 hits, 29 home runs, 92 RBIs, a .322 batting average and a .471 OBP this season while Josh Bell has 23 doubles this year along with 27 home runs and 88 RBIs. Patrick Corbin’s expected to get the start on Tuesday and is 9-15 with a 5.92 ERA and 134 strikeouts this season.

The Colorado Rockies will look to continue their strong play at home to finish the year with a good showing on Tuesday. C.J. Cron leads the Rockies with 28 home runs, 88 RBIs, a .276 batting average and a .369 OBP while Charlie Blackmon has a team-high 136 hits and 4 triples. Garrett Hampson leads Colorado with 6 triples and Trevor Story has a team-high 33 doubles and 5 triples as well this season. Kyle Freeland is listed to make the start on Tuesday and is 6-8 with a 4.50 ERA and 102 strikeouts this season.

Washington is 10-23 in their last 33 games as a road underdog and 15-36 in their last 51 games overall while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 Tuesday games. Colorado is 5-1 in their last 6 games against the NL East and 4-1 in their last 5 game two matchups while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a home favorite.

I get why you could try to make a case for either side here, but I feel the top play here is going to be the over. Corbin has been god-awful for much of the year for the Nationals and the thin air of Coors won’t help his problems. Kyle Freeland is a Denver kid, but that doesn’t stop him from getting shelled more often than not wherever he pitches. I think we end up with a high-scoring affair on Tuesday, so give me the over.
