The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants meet Saturday in Game 2 of the NLDS in MLB action at Oracle Park. The Dodgers could use a win here to even up the series at 1-1. The Giants have a chance to take a commanding 2-0 series lead.

The Los Angeles Dodgers just couldn’t get their offense going in the opening series loss. The Dodgers have scored 13 runs in their last three games and three or fewer runs in five of their last 10 games. The Dodgers have split their last six games when scoring three or fewer runs. Mookie Betts leads the Dodgers with four hits, while Will Smith and Trea Turner have combined for four hits. Julio Urias gets the ball, and he was 20-3 with a 2.96 ERA and 195 strikeouts this season. Urias is 6-2 with a 2.79 ERA and 39 strikeouts in his postseason career.

The San Francisco Giants drew first blood with an absolute gem from Logan Webb. The Giants have scored 17 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in seven of their last 10 games. The Giants have won 10 of their last 11 games when scoring four or more runs. Kris Bryant leads the Giants with three hits and one RBI, while Tommy La Stella and Brandon Crawford have combined for three hits and one RBI. Kevin Gausman gets the ball, and he was 14-6 with a 2.81 ERA and 227 strikeouts this season. Gausman is 0-0 with a 2.70 ERA and 11 strikeouts in his postseason career.

The Dodgers are 52-16 in their last 68 during game 2 of a series, and 36-15 in their last 51 Saturday games. The Giants are 14-3 in their last 17 during game 2 of a series and 5-2 in their last 7 Saturday games. The over is 5-1 in Dodgers last 6 overall. The under is 5-1 in Giants last 6 Saturday games. The Dodgers are 2-6 in the last 8 meetings.

Urias has been lights out all season long, and you have to like his chances here given that he’s held current Giants hitters to a .196 batting average in 171 at bats with 48 strikeouts. Gausman had a shaky month of September, but he has allowed just nine hits and two runs in his last 13 innings. The bottom line here is I’m not betting against the Giants, a team that just finds ways to win and has had guys step up time and time again all season long. There’s something special about these Giants, and I’m not going to step in front of them.
