Phillies Fall Apart In Game Four

The Philadelphia Phillies come into this one looking to restore the series lead after allowing the Diamondbacks to make it a 2-2 series with a 6-5 Diamondbacks win on Friday. Kyle Schwarber went 2 for 3 with a solo homer and a double while Brandon Marsh had a double and an RBI. Alec Bohm went 2 for 4 with an RBI and Trea Turner had an RBI as well in defeat. Josh Rojas added a triple and J.T. Realmuto chipped in a base knock as well to round out the offense for the Phillies in the loss. Cristopher Sanchez allowed one earned run on two hits over 2.1 innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Craig Kimbrel took the loss in relief, falling to 0-2 after allowing three runs on three hits. Zack Wheeler will start here and is 2-0 with a 2.37 ERA and 26 strikeouts this postseason.

Diamondbacks Make Series Best-Of-Three

The Arizona Diamondbacks come into this one looking to surprise and take a 3-2 series lead after their come-from-behind victory on Friday. Alek Thomas and Gabriel Moreno each had two RBIs with Thomas belting a pinch-hit home run while Christian Walker and Emmanuel Rivera each had an RBI as well to finish off the scoring for Arizona in the win. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. added a double while Ketel Marte had a pair of hits and Pavin Smith and Gerardo Perdomo each had hits as well to cap off the D-Backs’ offense. Kevin Ginkel got the win for Arizona in the bullpen game, while Paul Sewald had 3 strikeouts in the 9th for his 5th save of the playoffs. Zac Gallen will start for Arizona here and is 2-1 with a 4.96 ERA and 12 strikeouts this postseason.

Chris’ Pick

I’m rolling with the under here. These are two solid pitchers in this matchup and while Gallen has had issues here and there in the playoffs, it’s worth noting all of those starts came on the road and at home, he’s been much better this season. On the flipside, Zack Wheeler’s solid and I’ve seen more Zack Wheeler 1-0 games than I’d care to admit. I think with so much at stake here, this is a pitcher’s duel, so give me the under.
