The World Series is now even at one win apiece after the Rangers lost 9-1 in game two on Saturday. Mitch Garver’s solo home run was the lone score the Rangers would plate in the loss, with the rest of the lineup hitting 3 for 27 with 10 strikeouts as Marcus Semien, Evan Carter and Josh Jung each had a hit as well in the losing effort. I’m backing Arizona here. I get that the Rangers have had a ton of success on the road, but it’s important to remember a lot of that came in Houston where the road team won a ton of the matchups this season, playoffs included. Pfaadt’s pitched really well and we’ve yet to see a dominant outing from Scherzer to this point in the playoffs. Give me the Diamondbacks to build on Saturday’s momentum with a win here.
