The Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays meet in MLB action from Sahlen Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Baltimore Orioles will look to rebound from a 12-4 loss at the hands of the Blue Jays on Saturday. Cedric Mullins and Pedro Severino each had two RBIs with Mullins adding a double to make up the scoring for Baltimore in the losing effort. Austin Hays went 2 for 4 at the dish and Anthony Santander had a double as well while Freddy Galvis and Pat Valaika each had a base hit as well to cap off the offense for the O’s in the loss. Keegan Akin took the loss, falling to 0-4 on the year after allowing six earned runs on seven hits while striking out three over 4.1 innings of work. Jorge Lopez will start here and is 2-9 with a 5.68 ERA and 71 strikeouts this season. in his career, Lopez is 0-2 with an 11.20 ERA and 9 strikeouts against Toronto.

The Toronto Blue Jays will look to build on Saturday’s dominant offensive performance. Randal Grichuk led the Jays with four RBIs, going 3 for 4 with a three-run home run while Teoscar Hernandez had a home run and three total RBIs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a two-run home run and George Springer went 2 for 5 with two RBIs as well while Bo Bichette went 3 for 5 with a pair of doubles and an RBI to make up the rest of the scoring for the Jays in the win. Marcus Semien and Santiago Espinal each had two hits to make up the rest of Toronto’s offense with Semien adding a pair of doubles. Hyun Jin Ryu got the win to improve to 7-4 on the year after allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out three over 6.2 innings of work. Ross Stripling will start here and is 2-4 with a 4.33 ERA and 65 strikeouts this season. This will be Stripling’s second career start against Baltimore.

Baltimore is 19-44 in their last 63 division games and 16-40 in their last 56 games as a road underdog while the under is 9-1 in their last 10 game four matchups. Toronto is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall and 1-4 in their last 5 games as a home favorite while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 Sunday games. Baltimore is 17-36 in the last 53 meetings between these two teams.

I get the case that could be made for Toronto here, but I’m back off the Ross Stripling bandwagon, despite how well Toronto hit on Saturday. Instead, I’ going to side with the over. Jorge Lopez has been batting practice for opposing teams for most of the season and Stripling’s no ace in his own right. These games in Buffalo are also still producing video gam numbers in terms of the totals, so give me the over here.
