The Baltimore Orioles and the Atlanta Braves meet Sunday in MLB action from Sun Trust Park. This will be the finale in a three-game series. Baltimore took a five-run win in the Friday opener, then on Saturday Atlanta evened it up with a close victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles notched 12 team hits in the Friday game, powering out a 9-4 win. In the Saturday game two, Baltimore had eight team hits in a 5-4 loss. Starting pitcher Kyle Bradish logged 5.0 innings with three earned on five hits and two walks.

For the starter job in game three, the Orioles will send out Tyler Wells. Over his six games (five starts) this year Wells is 2-1 with a 3.34 ERA and 27 Ks in 35.0 innings. Wells is 11-11 with a 4.05 ERA in 73 career games (28 starts).

Atlanta Braves

Over on the Atlanta side, they gave up a whopping seven runs in the seventh inning alone during the Friday loss. On Saturday the Braves came back from a 4-3 deficit to power out the victory. Spencer Strider struck out 10 in the start with four hits and two earned in 5.0 innings.

Bryce Elder will take the mound for the Braves on Sunday. In his six starts this year Elder is 3-0 with a 1.75 ERA and 32 strikeouts over 36.0 innings. Elder is 5-4 with a 2.60 ERA in his career over 16 games (15 starts).

The O’s are 5-0 in their last five in game three of a series and 19-7 in their last 26 overall. The over is 5-2 in Baltimore’s last seven in game three of a series.

Meanwhile, the Braves are 37-15 in their last 52 at home versus a right-handed starter and 50-21 in their last 71 at home. Atlanta is 101-48 in their last 149 overall.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll probably go with the Braves here. Elder had an up-and-down outing versus the Marlins late last month (5.1 innings; four earned), but he bounced back in his last outing—also against Miami. In that one Elder notched 7.0 clean frames with three hits and zero walks in a victory. On Saturday the Braves got 4.0 innings, four hits, one earned, one walk and six Ks from the bullpen. Another solid pitching performance like that and Atlanta will be tough to contend with.

Andrew's Free Pick: Atlanta Braves -156
