The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers meet Tuesday in MLB action from American Family Field. This will be the second installment in a three-game set. In the series opener on Monday the Brewers secured a six-run victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers lost to the Padres 5-2 on Friday but bounced back for wins 2-1 and 5-2 in the weekend matchups. On Monday versus the Brewers, LA gave up six runs in the seventh inning alone. Starter Tony Gonsolin finished with 6.0 clean frames, three hits, no walks and six Ks.

As starter for the Tuesday game the Dodgers will go with Noah Syndergaard. In his six starts thus far Syndergaard is 1-3 with a 6.32 ERA and 21 strikeouts over 31.1 innings. Syndergaard is 58-44 with a 3.52 ERA in 152 career games (150 starts).

Milwaukee Brewers

Over on the Brewers’ side, they lost to the Giants 6-4 and 4-1 before staving off the sweep with a 7-3 Sunday win. On Monday versus LA, Milwaukee scored three in the fifth and never looked back. Freddy Peralta put up 6.0 innings in the start with three hits and two walks.

Eric Lauer will take the mound for the Brewers on Tuesday. Over six starts this year Lauer is 3-3 with a 4.40 ERA and 29 strikeouts over 30.2 innings. Lauer is 35-34 with a 4.12 career ERA in 116 games (109 starts).

The Dodgers are 68-23 in their last 91 in game two of a series and 60-23 in their last 83 Tuesday games. LA is 88-40 in their last 128 overall.

Meanwhile, the Brewers are 11-4 in their last 15 in game two of a series and the under is 5-2 in the last seven Tuesday games. The under is 17-7 in Milwaukee’s last 24 in game two of a series.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll stay with the Dodgers in this one. Syndergaard will be auditioning for some job security in this one; he was recently pushed out of the rotation following the promotion of Gavin Stone. After a sketchy run in his debut however, Stone is back in the minors and Syndergaard has the No. 5 starter slot again. I think Syndergaard will earn himself some goodwill with a solid outing here. On Monday Los Angeles had a couple of bad innings from the bullpen but Gonsolin had a solid outing. I like the Dodgers to get it together and bounce back in game two.
