St. Louis Cardinals Betting Preview

The St. Louis Cardinals are 8-9 this year, and they have won three of their last five games. St. Louis won the first game in this series by a score of 8-3, but they lost game two by a score of 2-0. The Houston Astros are 8-9 this season, and they have alternated wins and losses over their last 12 games. In their game two win, Houston scored one run in the sixth inning and one in the eighth for a shutout win. The Astros recorded seven hits in the game, and they were led by Alvarez, who went 1-4 with one home run and one RBI in the win. Houston started Brown, who allowed four hits over 6.0 innings for the win, while King, Abreu, and Hader closed out the shutout.

Cardinals vs Astros Prediction

Both of these teams have won one game in the series so far, and they will be looking for the series win here. St. Louis did get shut out on Tuesday night, but they do have one of the higher-scoring offenses in the MLB so far this year. Houston has not won back-to-back games so far this season, and Blanco has really struggled through three starts. On the other side, Matz has been very solid out of the bullpen, but this will be his first start of the season. This game is a toss-up in my opinion, but I will stay with the trends and fade Houston after a win. Take the Cardinals here.
