Why the Chicago White Sox will win

  • The Cubs have failed to cover the run line in each of their last nine games following a win.

The Chicago Cubs come into this one looking to complete a much-needed sweep of the rival Red Sox after series losses to the Reds, Brewers and Cardinals over the last week and a half, taking a bunch of hits against division rivals.

Cubs Still Struggling With Consistency

Entering Tuesday, Nico Hoerner leads the Cubs with 53 hits, 13 doubles and a .262 batting average while Christopher Morel has a team-high 10 home runs and 35 RBIs. Michael Busch has 8 homers with 23 RBIs but also has the unfortunate distinction of leading the Cubs with 67 strikeouts as well this season. Chicago Cubs vs Chicago White Sox Prediction

I’m on the White Sox here. I’m not the biggest Fedde fan, but he’s been one of the better pitchers that the White Sox have had this season and I’m not looking to lay this kind of price with the Cubs who haven’t had a ton of recent success with Taillon on the mound. The White Sox usually step up for these cross-town games and I think they saw how close they were to snapping the losing streak on Tuesday that they finish the job here. Give me the White Sox and the plus money.
