The Detroit Tigers and the Chicago White Sox meet in an AL Central division matchup in MLB action from Guaranteed Rate Field on Saturday.

The Detroit Tigers will be out to bounce back from ending up on the wrong side of an 8-1 loss at the hands of the White Sox on Friday. Jonathan Schoop leads the Tigers with a .279 batting average, 84 RBIs and 173 hits while Robbie Grossman has a team-high 23 home runs and a .355 OBP. Jeimer Candelario leads the Tigers with 42 doubles while AKil Baddoo has a team-high 7 triples and Willi Castro has 5 triples this season. Matt Manning will start here and is 4-7 with a 6.16 ERA and 50 strikeouts this season.

The Chicago White Sox will look to keep the positive vibes going for another day after their win over the Tigers from Friday night. Tim Anderson leads Chicago with a .306 batting average and 159 hits while Jose Abreu leads the White Sox with 30 home runs and 117 RBIs. Yoan Moncada also leads the White Sox with 31 doubles on the year as well. Lucas Giolito is expected to start here and is 11-8 with a 3.58 ERA and 198 strikeouts this season.

Detroit is 51-112 in their last 163 division games and 4-9 in their last 13 game two matchups while the under is 8-2 in their last 10 games as an underdog. Chicago is 61-27 in their last 88 games as a home favorite and 67-31 in their last 98 home games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a favorite.

I thought the Tigers held some value on Friday and that blew up square in my face, so I’m a biy gunshy to just jump back on board with the Tigers a day later. Instead, I’m going to side with the over here. Matt Manning is still a confusing starter to figure out as he’s always up and down, while Lucas Giolito has always been one of the more overrated pitchers in the White Sox rotation if I’m being perfectly honest. I don’t think the starters do anything well here, so I’ll back the over in this one.
