The Baltimore Orioles and the Cincinnati Reds meet Sunday in MLB action from Great American Ball Park. Here’s a Cincinnati Reds vs Baltimore Orioles prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

The Orioles took on the New York Yankees in their last series and did well. Baltimore won three of those games, taking victories 2-0, 4-2 and 7-2. The O’s kept it going with a 3-0 win over Cincinnati in the Friday opener. On Saturday Baltimore had seven team hits in a 2-1 win. Starting pitcher John Means put up 7.0 clean frames with three hits, no walks and eight strikeouts.

In the starting pitcher role for the Orioles on Sunday it’ll be Dean Kremer. This year Kremer is 2-2 with a 4.19 ERA and 31 Ks in 34.1 innings. Over his 77 career games (76 starts) Kremer is 24-22 with a 4.34 ERA.

Cincinnati Reds Betting Preview

Over on the Reds’ side, they played the San Diego Padres in their last set. Cincinnati won Monday 5-2 but otherwise lost 6-4 and 6-2 to drop the series. Following their shutout loss to the O’s on Friday, in game two the Reds couldn’t score until the ninth inning. Andrew Abbott managed 5.0 innings with two earned on seven hits and no walks as starter.

It’ll be Nick Lodolo in the starting pitcher role on Sunday for the Reds. This year over his four starts Lodolo is 3-0 with a 1.88 ERA and 31 Ks in 24.0 innings. Lodolo is 9-8 with a 3.95 ERA in 30 career starts.

Orioles vs Reds Injury Notes

Orioles LF Austin Hays (10-day IL) was scheduled to work out with Double-A Bowie this weekend. It’s unclear when Hays’ rehab assignment will begin.

Reds CF TJ Friedl (wrist) began a rehab assignment on Thursday, going 1-for-7 over his first two games. Friedl is on the 10-day IL.

Cincinnati Reds vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction

I’ll take a stab on the Reds here. Lodolo has been pretty good lately, outside of three earned on six hits and three walks in 5.0 innings during a no-decision against Philly on April 24. In two of his last three starts combined, Lodolo is 2-0 with just two earned in 13.1 total innings. As for Kremer, he’s 2-1 in his last trio with seven earned in 18.0 combined innings on nine hits and eight walks.

On Saturday the Reds had a nice bullpen effort with 4.0 combined innings, no hits, one walk, no earned and five strikeouts. Cincinnati didn’t get much out of the offense; Jonathan India (2-for-4) was the only batter with more than one hit. That said, I think the Reds have a decent shot in the finale.
