In this article, we will formulate a Dodgers vs Braves Prediction for this MLB game on Wednesday, April 3rd, at Dodger Stadium. Let’s take a look at an LA Dodgers vs Atlanta Braves pick.

Season Already Lost for Braves?

It’s still early, but if this type of play continues much longer for the Braves, we might as well consider it a lost season. The Braves are still looking for their first win of the season, and over the last five games, they have scored a grand total of five runs. On Tuesday, it was much of the same, with the Braves only scoring one run. Marcell Ozuna finished with one hit, one run, and two walks. Chris Sale went five innings, giving up four this and three runs. It doesn’t seem to matter what the pitching is doing, though, with the offense not doing anything.

The Braves’ offense is averaging 1.53 runs per game. Bryce Edler will make his first start of the season. Last season with Atlanta, he had some struggles, with a 2-5 record and an ERA of 6.52. The Braves will meet the Marlins after this series.

Perfect Start for the Dodgers

It hasn’t mattered if the Dodgers have had to lean on the pitching or the offense; it has all worked out, and it’s been a perfect start for the Dodgers. On Tuesday, the offense wasn’t elite, but it didn’t matter because the pitching was. Dustin May went five innings, giving up one hit. He did have three walks, but they were able to work around that because of the Braves’ struggles at the plate. Four bullpen guys came in and then shut them down. The Dodgers are averaging 5.57 runs, which is 7th best in the league.

Blake Snell will start for the Dodgers. He has a 1-0 record and an ERA of 3.60. Against the Detroit Tigers, he pitched five innings, giving up two hits and two runs. He did have four walks, and that has to improve.

Why the Dodgers Will Beat the Braves

  • The Braves have lost each of their last nine games against NL West opponents that held a winning record.
  • The home team has won each of the Braves’ last nine games.
  • The Dodgers have covered the run line in each of their last eight night games at Dodger Stadium following a win.
  • The Braves have failed to cover the run line each of their last four games against teams that held a winning record.
  • The Dodgers have led after 3 innings in four of their last five games at Dodger Stadium against NL East opponents that held a losing record.
  • The Braves have lost the first inning in three of their last four games as road underdogs against NL West opponents.
  • The Braves have trailed after 5 innings in three of their last four night games at Dodger Stadium against NL West opponents.

Dodgers vs Braves Prediction

I just am not sure how you go against the Dodgers here. Sure, Blake Snell wasn’t dominant in the first game, but he was good enough, and now he gets to face a Braves offense that is awful. They are averaging only 1.53 runs per game, and I don’t see that number rising anymore. The Braves are 0-8 in their last eight road games. Make that 0-9 here. It’s only going to take two or three runs to win this game on the run line, and they will reach it. Back the Dodgers on the run line.
