In this article, we will formulate a Guardians vs Astros prediction for this MLB game on Friday, June 6th at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview

The Cleveland Guardians are 33-28 this season after they lost two out of three against the Yankees by scores of 2-3, 4-0, and 0-4. In their game three loss, Cleveland allowed two runs in the fourth inning and never got their offense going in the shutout loss. The Guardians recorded just three hits, and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Ramirez, who had two hits in the loss. Cleveland started Cecconi, who allowed five hits and two earned runs over 5.0 innings for the loss, while Junis allowed two earned runs over 1.2 innings in relief.

Prior to that series, the Guardians won two out of three against the Angels, but lost two out of three against the Dodgers before that. Cleveland has won three of their last five games, and they are currently third in the AL Central standings. The Cleveland pitching staff has a 3.99 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP and a .252 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 241 runs with a .234 batting average and a .305 on-base percentage this season. Jose Ramirez has led Cleveland with 11 home runs and 29 RBIs, while Kyle Manzardo has also added 11 home runs and 29 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Cleveland is Logan Allen, who is 3-3 with a 4.22 ERA and a 1.59 WHIP over 49.0 innings pitched this season.

Houston Astros Betting Preview

The Houston Astros are 34-28 this year after they won two out of three against Pittsburgh by scores of 3-0, 0-3, and 8-2. In their game three win, Houston fell behind 1-0 in the third inning, but they scored eight of the last nine runs to pull away with the win. The Astros recorded 10 hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Paredes, who went 2-4 with two home runs and three RBIs in the win. Houston started Valdez, who allowed four hits and two earned runs over 7.0 innings for the win, while Abreu and Ort finished the last two innings.

Prior to that series, the Astros split four games with the Rays and won both games against the Athletics. Houston has won four of their last six games, and they are currently first in the AL West standings. The Houston pitching staff has a 3.56 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP and a .219 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 250 runs with a .252 batting average and a .317 on-base percentage this season. Isaac Paredes has led Houston with 14 home runs and 37 RBIs, while Jeremy Pena has added nine home runs and 31 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Houston is Colton Gordon, who is 0-1 with a 5.95 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP over 19.2 innings pitched this year.

Guardians vs Astros Prediction

Houston was able to pick up the series win against Pittsburgh on Thursday night, but that game didn’t finish until 12:30am Eastern time, which means this will be a quick turnaround with travel. The Astros are 12-16 on the road this year, while the Guardians are 17-11 at home. Cleveland just dropped two out of three against the Yankees, and they are starting Allen, who has allowed two earned runs or fewer in three of his last four starts. The Astros are going with Gordon, who has allowed three earned runs or more in four straight outings. I think Cleveland has a pretty big advantage in this game with the Houston travel schedule, so give me the Guardians to win at home.
