The Colorado Rockies and the Cleveland Guardians meet Wednesday in MLB action from Progressive Field. This will be the finale in a three-game series. Colorado Rockies
The Rockies scored four runs in the fourth inning during the Monday opener of this series, cruising to a 6-0 victory. On Tuesday Colorado scored four runs in the first two innings on the way to a 5-1 win. Ryan Feltner put up 6.0 clean frames in the start with five hits and six walks.
For the starter job in the Wednesday finale, the Rockies will go with German Marquez fresh off the IL. This year Marquez is 2-1 with a 4.41 ERA over three starts. He’s 65-55 in his career with a 4.40 ERA in 175 games (172 starts).
Cleveland Guardians
Over on the Cleveland side, they were out-hit 10-4 in the Monday opener loss. In the Tuesday game two, the Guardians were out-hit 8-6 in another defeat. Starter Peyton Battenfield lasted 4.2 innings with four earned, six hits and four walks.
As starting pitcher for the Tuesday game, the Guardians will send out Tanner Bibee in his MLB debut. Bibee has posted a 1.76 ERA in 15.1 innings in Triple-A so far this year.

I’m likely going to try Colorado in this one. It’ll be interesting to see what Bibee can do in his debut, though. He should have a solid outing if all goes well. As for the Rockies, they got some much-needed good news with Marquez coming off the IL and getting back to form. Marquez is coming off a win over St. Louis on April 10 with 5.0 innings and two earned, but he’ll probably have a short leash in his return. The bullpen will need to take it the rest of the way. On Tuesday Colorado got some pretty good offensive production in the early innings and the pitching staff carried the team. I like the Rockies to keep it going if Marquez can produce in his return.
