The Milwaukee Brewers and the Kansas City Royals meet Wednesday in MLB action from Kauffman Stadium. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Kansas City Royals vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Milwaukee Brewers will start Joe Ross in this game and Ross is 1-3 with a 4.65 ERA and 27 strikeouts this season. This will be Ross’ first career start against the Royals. Brady Singer will get the start for Kansas City here and is 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA and 42 strikeouts this season. This will be Singer’s first career start against Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Brewers Recap

The Milwaukee Brewers come into this game looking to build on their 6-5 win over the Royals from Tuesday’s game two. The win gave the Brewers some hope as they were coming off of their series loss to the Cubs over the weekend. It was a back and forth affair, but the Brewers utilized a 3-run top of the 9th to surpass the Royals and walking away with the win when all was said and done.

Brewers Starting To Come Alive Again

William Contreras leads the Brewers with 46 hits including 10 doubles and 27 RBIs along with 5 home runs and a .406 OBP while Willy Adames and Rhys Hoskins each have a team-high 7 home runs with Adames logging 7 doubles. Brice Turang leads the Brewers with 14 stolen bases while Jackson Chourio has a team-high 35 strikeouts as well this season.

Why the Milwaukee Brewers will win

  • Probable Starting Pitcher: Joe Ross Record this season: 1-3 ERA: 4.65
  • The Royals have lost seven of their last eight games as home favorites against NL Central opponents following a loss.
  • The underdogs have won three of the Brewers’ last four games at Kauffman Stadium.
  • The Royals have failed to cover the run line in each of their last seven games as home favorites against NL Central opponents.
  • The Brewers have covered the run line in 22 of their last 24 games as road underdogs.
  • The Royals have trailed after 5 innings in each of their last eight day games against NL Central opponents that held a winning record.
  • The Brewers have led after 3 innings in four of their last five games as road underdogs against AL Central opponents.

Kansas City Royals Recap

The Kansas City Royals taking the loss on Tuesday was a frustrating one after eking out their narrow win in Monday’s series opener as the win could’ve meant the series victory and a bounce back series win after their series loss to the Texas Rangers over the weekend.

Royals Can Match At The Dish

Bobby Witt Jr. leads the Royals with 46 hits including 4 home runs, 19 RBIs, 5 triples and 10 doubles while Salvador Perez has a team-high 8 home runs and 31 RBIs with 42 hits of his own. Nelson Velazquez also has a team-high 32 strikeouts while Witt Jr. has a team-high 13 stolen bases and Maikel Garcia has 4 home runs, 22 RBIs and 8 stolen bases this season.

Why the Kansas City Royals will win

  • Probable Starting Pitcher: Brady Singer Record this season: 2-1 ERA: 2.45
  • The home team has won four of the last five games between the Brewers and Royals.
  • The Brewers have lost seven of their last eight Wednesday day road games.
  • The Brewers have failed to cover the run line in seven of their last eight day games against AL Central opponents that held a winning record.
  • The Royals have covered the run line in four of their last five day games against NL Central opponents following a home loss.

Kansas City Royals vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

I’m on the Royals here. I just like Brady Singer a lot more at home really than I like Joe Ross anywhere. Ross had a nice first couple of starts to the year but has really shown his true colors in his last few starts for Milwaukee. The Royals have had a tendency to hit right-handed pitching hard all year long and I look for this game to be no different against a starter in Ross that just looks like a lower-end option in the Brewers rotation. Give me the Royals.
