The Oakland Athletics and the Kansas City Royals meet Sunday in MLB action from Kauffman Stadium. Here’s a Kansas City Royals vs Oakland Athletics prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Oakland Athletics Betting Preview

The A’s took on the Houston Astros in their last series. Oakland had trouble in that set, losing all four games 9-2, 2-1, 3-0 and 8-1 for a sweep. Following their Friday loss to the Royals 6-2, in game two the A’s posted 11 hits in a 5-3 defeat. Starter Ross Stripling put up 5.0 innings with four earned runs on nine hits and no walks.

In the starting pitcher role for the A’s on Sunday it’ll be JP Sears. This year Sears is 3-2 with a 3.96 ERA and 35 Ks in 50.0 innings over nine starts. Sears is 14-19 with a 4.28 ERA in 58 career games (52 starts).

Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

Over on the Royals’ side, they played the Seattle Mariners in their last set. Kansas City was able to win 4-2 in the Tuesday matchup but otherwise lost 6-2 Monday and 4-2 Wednesday. After their Friday win, on Saturday KC got just about everyone involved with 11 team hits. Seth Lugo managed 5.2 innings in the start with two earned, six hits, a walk and 10 Ks.

It’ll be Brady Singer in the starting pitcher role for the Royals on Sunday. So far in his nine starts Singer is 3-2 with a 2.84 ERA. He’s got 52 Ks in 50.2 innings. Singer is 30-33 with a 4.34 ERA in 104 career games (101 starts).

Kansas City Royals vs Oakland Athletics Prediction

I’ll probably just stay with the Royals. Singer needs a bit of a bounce-back start, though. In his most recent outing versus the Mariners on May 13, Singer gave up four earned on nine hits and a walk in 5.0 innings during a loss. In the two starts prior however, Singer had just two earned in 11.1 innings. As for Sears, he should be pretty good here as well. Sears is 2-0 with just five earned in 17.0 total innings across his last three starts.

On Saturday in game two the Royals had an explosive night at the plate. Adam Frazier (0-for-3) was the only batter without a hit. I like KC to keep rolling in the finale.
