NY Mets vs NY Yankees Prediction

The Yankees come into this matchup with a much better overall record than the Mets, but they have had some struggles recently. The Yankees pitching staff has not been as sharp over the last two weeks, but they will have Gerrit Cole on the mound, who pitched fine against Baltimore in his first outing. The Mets are one of the hotter teams in the MLB right now, but they are just 18-23 at home. The Mets are starting David Peterson, who has done a solid job in limited work, but he does have an elevated WHIP. Cole is obviously the much better overall pitcher, but the Mets are hitting the ball very well right now and I think they will chase Cole early. My NY Mets vs NY Yankees prediction is for the Mets to win.
