In this article, we will formulate a NY Yankees vs Kansas City Royals Prediction for this MLB game on Monday, October 7th, at Yankee Stadium. To formulate this prediction, we will examine:

Royals Had Their Chances

The Royals had their chances on Saturday, and the umps didn’t help them much, but they ended up losing 6-5. MJ Melendez did have a huge home run and drove in two RBIs. Michael Wacha got the start, and he wasn’t good enough, going four innings giving your hits and three runs. The bullpen also used five players, but they did have a day off heading into this game so they should be fine and well rested. Bobby Witt Jr is one of the young starts, but he went 0-5 on Saturday. If they want to win this game, that can’t happen again.

Getting the start for the Royals will be Cole Ragans, who sits with an 11-9 record and an ERA of 3.14. Over his last two starts against the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals, he has gone 12 innings and given up seven hits and zero runs.

Can Yankees Keep Home Field Advantage?

The Yankees are looking to keep home field advantage after they were able to win the first game of this series. The Yankees continued to have to fight back against the Royals on Saturday, but they were able to secure the 6-5 victory.  Gleyber Torres had a strong game, hitting a home run and driving in two RBIs. He also scored two runs and was walked twice. Austin Wells also finished with one hit, two walks and two RBis.

Getting the start for the Yankees will be Carlos Rodon who sits with a 16-9 record and an ERA of 3.96. In his last start against the Pittsburgh Pirates he went 5.1 inning giving up four hits and two runs.

NY Yankees vs Kansas City Royals Prediction

The Yankees won the first game, and it was higher scoring, but this game is going to be different. Both of these pitchers looked excellent the last couple of starts, and it’s going to be much of the same here. Ragans in his last start gave up zero runs and the pitching for the offense is going to be a much of the same here. Look for both offenses to have major issues here, and the under is going to end up cashing.
